On March 5, a test flight was deployed in the Huong Son Scenic Landscape Complex area, where the festival season is taking place with a large number of tourists visiting and pilgrimageing. This is considered an important survey step to assess the feasibility of bringing UAVs to support festival management, cargo transportation and environmental protection.
At the experiment, Tecapro deployed test flights using UAV equipment manufactured by Factory Z113 (Ministry of National Defense). The equipment was tested to carry about 5kg on a flight path about 1km long; serving supervision and observation from above to support area management and monitor festival and cargo transportation situations.
Flights are carried out at an altitude of about 180m, testing two-way cargo loading from the Hang Vo boat wharf area to designated locations in the relic area.

Colonel Nguyen Tien Thang - General Director of Tecapro said that the first experimental flight at Perfume Pagoda is of great significance, creating a research basis for deploying the next steps in UAV application to serve festival management.
Current UAV devices can perform many tasks such as monitoring the area, transporting goods, and supporting order and security management. With a large area and complex terrain like Huong Son commune, UAVs can effectively support local authorities in management work," Mr. Thang said.
In addition, UAVs also help enhance visibility from above, support functional forces to detect early situations arising during festival organization, contributing to ensuring security, order and safety for tourists.
According to calculations by the deploying unit, the UAV can transport a maximum of about 100 kg of cargo per flight, the flight time from the takeoff point to the designated location is only about 5 minutes, helping to significantly reduce time and manpower compared to traditional transportation methods.

Mr. Tran Duc Hai - City Party Committee Member, Secretary of the Party Committee of Huong Son commune - said that the festival organization area has a large area, many mountainous and forest areas and a system of relics distributed on a large area, while current management solutions are still mainly based on traditional methods.
According to Mr. Hai, in addition to managing the special national relic Huong Son, the locality also manages a forest area of up to thousands of hectares. Therefore, the application of new technologies such as UAVs can effectively support in area management, transportation of goods and waste treatment during the festival season.
Bringing UAVs to support management and operation at the relic site is very necessary. However, for long-term deployment, it is necessary to continue to research and fully assess the actual effectiveness as well as the economic problem, ensuring harmony of people's interests and supporting local economic development," Mr. Hai said.

The organization of UAV test flights at the Perfume Pagoda Tourism Festival is considered a new step in the process of applying science - technology and digital transformation to festival management.
If effectively deployed, UAVs can contribute to improving management efficiency, ensuring security and order, protecting the environment and improving the quality of service for tourists when visiting and pilgrimage at Huong Son relic site.
