Perfume Pagoda welcomes more than 25,000 visitors in the first 2 days of the year

In the first 2 days of Binh Ngo 2026, the Huong Pagoda relic and scenic complex welcomed about 25,000 visitors to pilgrimage and spring travel.

According to statistics from the Organizing Committee, on February 18 (the 2nd day of Tet), the number of visitors to Huong Pagoda was estimated at nearly 20,000, showing the great attraction of the festival right from the early days of the year.

From 4 am on the 2nd day of Tet, the Organizing Committee of the Huong Pagoda Tourism Festival 2026 simultaneously deployed plans to serve the festival season. Functional forces were thoroughly trained in the spirit of working seriously, proactively, ensuring security and order, and traffic safety both on roads and waterways.

Although the number of visitors increased sharply, areas that had experienced congestion such as Yen wharf, Thien Tru wharf, entrance to Thien Tru pagoda or Huong Tich cave area did not record prolonged congestion. The work of diverting, regulating ferries and guiding tourists was carried out flexibly, helping the flow of people move stably.

Many tourists assess that this year's relic space is more open when encroaching shops have been cleared, restoring solemnity to the scenic area. Service business activities have been rearranged in a civilized direction, creating a comfortable and convenient feeling for pilgrims.

On February 18, Mr. Le Van Trang - Chairman of Huong Son Commune People's Committee, Head of the Festival Organizing Committee - directly inspected and encouraged teams and stations on duty. Local leaders requested service staff and business households to raise awareness, maintain a friendly and polite image to create a good impression on tourists. Logistics work at key points such as Thien Tru Pagoda and Huong Tich cave is also required to be thoughtful.

A new point of this year's festival season is the restriction of motorboats on Yen stream. The Organizing Committee only arranged 3 motorboats at Yen wharf, Hoi bridge and Thien Tru wharf to handle emergency situations. Other forces moved by rowing boats to maintain quietness, limit large waves and emissions affecting tourists.

At the same time, waterway safety regulations are tightened. Ferries are required to be fully equipped with life jackets; in case of non-compliance, they will be handled, even suspended from operation if serious violations occur. AI camera and flycam systems are also put into operation along Yen stream to monitor and support timely operation.

Notably, from this year's festival season, the Organizing Committee decided to exempt all car parking fees at relic parking lots, in order to create maximum convenience for people and tourists coming to Huong Son in the early spring.
