On August 28, Lao Bao International Border Gate Border Guard Station, Quang Tri Provincial Border Guard Command, said that officers and soldiers of the unit had just promptly supported a foreign passenger who had health problems during entry procedures.
Accordingly, Mr. Grosman Eugenne (born in 1945, US nationality) was returning to Vietnam from Laos through Lao Bao International Border Gate.
While carrying out entry procedures, this man suddenly showed signs of hypoglycemia, dizziness, unstable health and fell at the border gate area.
Discovering the incident, officers and soldiers of the Lao Bao International Border Gate Border Guard Station coordinated with the Lao Bao Health Quarantine force to quickly approach and support passengers, and at the same time perform first aid and check their health status.
Forces at the border gate took care of and monitored Mr. Grosman Eugenne's health, ensuring safety before continuing the necessary handling steps.
After first aid and care, the passenger's health gradually stabilized.
According to the Lao Bao International Border Gate Border Guard Station, promptly detecting and supporting people and passengers encountering incidents in the border gate area is one of the tasks that the unit regularly focuses on, in addition to immigration control, ensuring security and order in the border area.
