In his opening speech, Mr. Le Dang Tuan - Chairman of Hoai Nhon Town People's Committee - said that La Vuong Plateau (Hoai Son Commune) is located at an altitude of over 719m above sea level. The name La Vuong in French "La Vou" means "Wish", dating back to the early 20th century, when the French set foot on this land.
The plateau has diverse vegetation and forest ecosystems. The unique feature of La Vuong is that visitors can experience Spring - Summer - Autumn - Winter in one day. Places in La Vuong plateau such as: Indochina Junction, Doi Thong Airport, Bang Lac Beach, Cau Lay Lake, Heaven's Gate, Ba Tang Waterfall... are suitable destinations for developing types of forest ecotourism and terrain sports.
To develop La Vuong, Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee has launched a contest to select design ideas for the planning of the La Vuong grassland eco-tourism development area.
Accordingly, the designed scale of La Vuong is about 500 hectares, with an expected number of 1,000-1,200 tourists per day and night, including 350 rooms, and an expected stay of 1.5-2 days per guest.
Types of tourism implemented include: Eco-resort tourism; green sports and entertainment activities (horse riding, farm experiences, etc.); green lifestyle tourism activities (marathon races, mountain biking, resort tourism combined with meditation, yoga, etc.) with a total planned investment of about 700 billion VND.
