On the afternoon of July 16 in Seoul (local time), the Vietnam Tourism Association (VITA) in coordination with the Vietnamese Embassy in Korea held the opening ceremony of the Vietnam Tourism Promotion Office in Korea.

The establishment of a promotion office in one of these key markets marks a strategic step for the Vietnamese tourism industry, aiming to promote and attract international visitors from Korea - Vietnam's leading major market.
At the same time, this is also an effective support channel for travel agencies of the two countries in connecting, cooperating and exchanging visitors.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Vu The Binh highly appreciated the Korean market, the leading market of Vietnam Tourism; and confirmed the importance of the Vietnam Tourism Promotion Office in attracting visitors to Vietnam and supporting activities to send Vietnamese visitors to travel abroad.
The presence of the Tourism Promotion Office will create a new breakthrough, contributing to the strong growth of Korean visitors to Vietnam.
Ambassador Vu Ho expressed his hope that the office will become an effective bridge, contributing to deepening the tourism cooperation and people-to-people exchange between the two countries.
Immediately after the opening ceremony, VITA organized a B2B meeting between Vietnamese businesses and more than 65 travel companies and 13 Korean media agencies.

Within the framework of the event, the Roadshow program to promote destinations and Vietnamese tourism products took place vibrantly, along with the signing ceremony of cooperation between businesses and Tourism Associations of the two countries.
Vietnam is currently a top popular destination for Korean tourists thanks to its rich scenery, unique culture and close geographical distance.
In the first 6 months of 2025, Northeast Asia is still the largest market sending visitors to Vietnam this year, accounting for 60% of the total number of international visitors. Of which, Korea ranks second in the 10 largest tourist sending markets, with more than 2.2 million arrivals.
