On May 5, leaders of the Department of Industry and Trade of Can Tho City received and worked with a number of enterprises in the fields of ships, planning and construction to discuss and cooperate in developing river tourism services by yacht and survey the location of the yacht anchorage in Can Tho City.
The company said that in addition to some high-end cruise ships operating in some localities, most waterway tourism vehicles have not basically met the exploitation requirements in typical tropical climate conditions (rain, sunshine)...
For sustainable development, the waterway tourism industry needs to ensure the convergence of all factors to form a complete tourism system so that tourists feel the attraction of the tourism route.
The Department of Industry and Trade of Can Tho City believes that with the specific terrain of the river area, Can Tho City in particular, the Mekong Delta in general is very suitable for developing cruise services. This is also an activity to promote the development of trade, services and waterway tourism, increasing connectivity between localities in the Mekong Delta.
