Nhan Nhan Newspaper has just launched a technology tourism project called "Love Vietnam", part of a special communication series on the 70th anniversary of the victory of Dien Bien Phu, 70 years of liberation of the capital and towards 50 years of liberation of the South, reuniting the country. The project contributes to spreading the love of the homeland and national pride through the journey of cultural and historical discovery in localities.
Coordinating with Phygital Labs, nearly 200 smart interactive stations have been installed at typical locations in 63 provinces and cities, creating a national digital tourism map. Each touchpoint is a connection between historical memories and technological experiences.
At each destination, visitors just need to use an NFC-enabled phone to tap the interactive board, access local digital content, receive personalized certificates, share experiences and have the opportunity to receive attractive rewards. People and tourists can "check-in" to know how many people have visited, sent messages and photos to the program. All will be compiled to create a map of Vietnam with the image of the community, where each person is their own mark.
Sharing with Lao Dong, Ms. Huong Hoang - Business Director of Phygital Labs - said: "Love Vietnam very much" is a new project, promoting the tourism trend towards personalized experiences. Experiences require multidimension and multiple interactions, combining reality and numbers but must be seamless, promoting curiosity, discovery, and integration between individuals and local cultures".
NFC (Near-Field Communication) is the core technology in the entire project experience. Compared to traditional solutions such as QR codes or GPS, NFC allows accurate authentication of the actual location of users, high-level data encryption, and elimination of the risk of remote fraud. This ensures that each check-in is a real experience, in the right place, at the right time.
That means that those who have participated in checking in, sharing their information and emotions are all real, there is no way to use tricks to "like" and increase interaction. Above all, this system also creates value for localities, contributing to increasing accommodation time, encouraging returns, and promoting connections with the local community.
According to statistics from the project developer, experiential tourism is a trend that many people are interested in, because it helps tourists proactively participate and interact in local activities; connect, integrate into local life, culture as well as personalized experience journeys reflecting the preferences of each individual.
The scale of the new technology tourism market is up to 1,000 billion USD, with a compound annual growth rate of up to 15%. Currently, there are over 20 countries in the world that have applied NFC to tourism development such as the UK, France, Korea, Japan, etc.
