This afternoon (October 27), storm No. 6 Tra Mi made landfall in the provinces of Thua Thien Hue, Quang Nam - Da Nang. The strongest wind near the storm's center is level 8 (62-74km/h), gusting to level 10. Moving southwest at a speed of about 10km/h.
During the storm, airlines had to adjust flight schedules and change their operating plans on October 27.
Vietnam Airlines adjusted the operation schedule of 83 domestic and international flights to and from affected airports.
Specifically, 4 domestic flights at Dong Hoi airport and 12 domestic flights to and from Phu Bai airport were affected on the 27th.
At Chu Lai airport, 8 domestic flights were affected on October 27 and 28. At Da Nang airport, 55 domestic flights and 4 international flights were affected on October 27 and 28.
Vietjet announced that flights to and from Tan Son Nhat Airport (HCMC) also had to change landing routes and operating plans on October 27 due to the impact of the storm. Accordingly, flights VJ121 from Hanoi to HCMC and VJ357 from Buon Ma Thuot to HCMC were rerouted to land in Phu Quoc and Can Tho, respectively.
