The Mong Cultural Festival is taking place at Van Ho (Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam Relic, Hanoi).
Speaking at the opening of the festival on the morning of December 13, Mr. Jonathan Senior - Chief Representative of the UNESCO Office in Vietnam said that events like the Mongolian Cultural Festival remind us of why cultural heritage is still vibrant and important.
fabric weaving, flax processing, beeswax painting, indigo dyeing, embroidery are not only beautiful handicraft products but also stories, memories and knowledge passed down through many generations of the Mong community.
The Mong Culture Festival has the participation of 8 groups of H'Mong people from the provinces of Cao Bang, Lao Cai, Dien Bien, Tuyen Quang, Phu Tho and Nghe An, displaying costumes, patterns and traditional handicraft production techniques.
Ms. Tran Tuyet Lan - Director of Craft Link Social Enterprise Joint Stock Company shared: "The festival is a gratitude, an opportunity for those who preserve the culture to tell their own stories. It is also a gentle reminder that heritage only truly exists when we feel, listen and preserve it together.

The event brings to the people and tourists of the capital a space for exhibition and performance art recreating the vivid life of Mong culture and a rich culinary experience.
The special thing at the event is that people and tourists directly interact with artisans, admire the complex stages, from planting flax, connecting strands, weaving raw fabric, to unique decorative techniques such as painting bee wax (batik) on indigo fabric.

This activity helps highlight indigenous knowledge and the sustainability of traditional handicrafts. Thereby contributing to bringing a realistic, lively and emotional experience to people and tourists on the journey to discover the traditional cultural features of the highland H'Mong people.
