Ho Chi Minh City - With a series of tourism festivals and events invested methodically, Ho Chi Minh City expects to create momentum to stimulate demand, promote the market and increase the attractiveness of destinations.

Ho Chi Minh City is innovating domestic tourism promotion methods, making cultural and tourism events an attractive experience rendezvous, contributing to stimulating tourism demand and spreading the image of dynamic and unique destinations.

According to Ms. Nguyen Cam Tu - Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Promotion Center, domestic tourism promotion programs are researched and invested to enhance the level and quality of existing periodic events of the city's tourism with 11 unique and novel domestic tourism promotion events, organized throughout 2026.

In the first quarter of 2026, the highlight is the 2026 Ho Chi Minh City Ao Dai Festival, expected to take place from March 2nd to 8th. This year, the festival is expanded to be organized in many cultural and tourist spaces in Ho Chi Minh City after the merger, in order to spread cultural values and expand experiences for tourists.

In the second quarter of 2026, the city continues to organize a series of major events including the Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Festival in 2026, the 3rd Ho Chi Minh City River Festival and Summer Imprint 2026.

In which, the Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Festival 2026 is expected to take place on April 2 - 5, to stimulate domestic tourism demand in the summer, creating conditions for businesses to promote products, stimulus programs and improve the quality of tourism services.

The 3rd Ho Chi Minh City River Festival, held in April 2026, is a series of tourism - culture - entertainment - art - cuisine - sports - shopping activities taking place throughout the city and river systems, canals reaching out to the vast sea.

At the end of the second quarter of 2026, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism for the first time organized the "Summer Imprint" program, with a series of cultural, sports and tourism activities in typical coastal areas and public spaces, creating a vibrant atmosphere during the peak tourist season.

The 20th Ho Chi Minh City International Tourism Fair - ITE HCMC 2026 is scheduled to take place on August 27-29.

At the end of 2026, Ho Chi Minh City will organize the 6th Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Week taking place from December 4th to 12th. The event contributes to creating a vibrant festival atmosphere, stimulating domestic and international tourism demand, and at the same time opening up opportunities for businesses to promote products, services and promotional programs at the end of the year and the new year.
