According to the Kien Giang Department of Tourism, 2024 marks an important turning point when Phu Quoc is continuously evaluated and honored by the world's leading prestigious tourism organizations. The world's leading travel magazine Conde Nast Traveler voted Phu Quoc as the Top 2 "World's Most Wonderful Islands" 2024.
Mr. Bui Quoc Thai, Director of Kien Giang Department of Tourism, said: In addition to possessing beautiful landscapes, Phu Quoc has full world-class entertainment and luxury resort services. In particular, the 30-day visa exemption for all visitors in the world also contributes to making the pearl island a highly appreciated international destination.

According to Director of Kien Giang Province Department of Tourism Bui Quoc Thai, to welcome tourists during the year-end tourist season as well as the Lunar New Year, the Department has directed tourism businesses to strengthen environmental sanitation, ensure fire and explosion prevention and control, improve the quality of tourism products and services, design tours associated with sightseeing, experience activities, and events to attract tourists.
The Department surveyed rural tourism service businesses, other services and shops specializing in selling OCOP products that meet standards to serve tourists in U Minh Thuong, An Minh, Hon Dat districts, Rach Gia city, Ha Tien city...

In 2024, Kien Giang will continue to lead the tourism cluster in the Western Mekong Delta, welcoming over 9.8 million visitors, an increase of 15.6% compared to 2023, exceeding the 2024 target by 7.2%. Of which, international visitors will be over 978,000, an increase of 70.7% compared to 2023, exceeding the 2024 target by 43.9%. The province will achieve total tourism revenue of over VND 25,000 billion, an increase of 43.8% over the same period, exceeding the 2024 target by 25.7%.
