On the afternoon of October 20, the flight departed from Changi International Airport, Singapore and landed at Da Nang International Airport, along with 174 passengers on the airline's first flight to Da Nang City.
The flight marked the official opening of the Singapore - Da Nang direct flight route with a frequency of 3 flights/week on Monday, Friday and Saturday, expected to increase to 7 flights/week from January 2026. The flights are operated by Airbus A320 aircraft, with a capacity of 180 to 186 seats.
The program to welcome the first flight was solemnly held at the International arrival Station - Da Nang International Airport.
Within the framework of the event, many celebration activities such as dragon hoses spraying ceremony to welcome the plane, traditional art performances, giving flowers and souvenirs to passengers, taking souvenir photos. The tourists were very excited and moved by the warm, friendly and hospitable reception of Da Nang city.
Mr. Tan Van Vuong - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang City said: "With its close geographical location, convenient aviation connections and cultural similarities in the ASEAN region, the number of tourists from Singapore to Da Nang recorded a stable growth trend.
The expansion of direct flights between Singapore and Da Nang, with the participation of all three airlines Singapore Airlines, Vietjet Air and Scoot Airlines, has increased the total frequency of flights from Singapore to Da Nang to 24 flights/week, contributing to enhancing tourist exchanges between Singapore and Da Nang, while expanding cooperation opportunities for tourism development in the coming time".
