Da Nang - During the National Day holiday from August 29 to September 2, Da Nang is estimated to welcome more than 850,000 visitors, an increase of 37% compared to the same period in 2025.

On the afternoon of September 2nd, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang City said that out of a total of more than 850,000 visitors to the city, the number of international visitors is estimated at more than 224,000. Overnight visitors reached more than 275,000, an increase of 36% compared to the same period.

The average room occupancy rate in the whole city reaches 65-70%, especially the 4-5 star block reaches about 75%. Tourists are concentrated in coastal accommodation establishments, central areas and An Hai, Ngu Hanh Son, Hai Chau, Son Tra, Hoi An, Hoi An Dong, Hoi An Tay wards...

According to data from online travel platforms Booking.com and Agoda, Da Nang ranked first in the ranking of domestic destinations most searched by Vietnamese tourists on September 2nd this year, and also ranked 3rd on Traveloka.

From August 29 to September 2, the total number of domestic and international flights to Da Nang reached 810 flights (up 19% compared to the same period in 2025), averaging 162 flights/day. Including 498 domestic flights and 312 international flights. Vietnam Airlines has restored the Da Lat - Da Nang route from August 19 with a frequency of 10 flights/week.

The railway industry is increasing 4 more North-South passenger trains SE23/SE24 along with trains in the Hanoi - Da Nang and Saigon - Da Nang sections to meet the increasing travel demand.

In particular, in Da Nang, there are also many major events such as the Heineken Pickleball World Cup 2026 (August 30 - September 6) attracting nearly 5,000 people from 81 countries and territories; Hoi An Innovation Week 2026; along with traditional boat races, Sea Rowing and National Standing Rowing Championships.

The VR 360° virtual reality experience program "Returning to the sacred moment" at APEC Park recreated the space of Ba Dinh Square on September 2, 1945, bringing a touching historical experience to people and tourists. The city also offers free entrance tickets to Da Nang Museum, Fine Arts Museum, Cham Sculpture Museum and Cu Lao Cham on September 2.
