The first flight from the Russian market to Da Nang City operated by Anex Vietnam Trading and Tourism Co., Ltd. in coordination with VietJet Air landed on April 16, with flight number VJ7989 from Vladivostok, bringing 220 passengers to the city.
This event marks the step of restoring and expanding the Russian tourist market - one of the strategic markets of Da Nang tourism, after a period of promoting and advertising the destination.
In order to create a good impression of a friendly destination, a flight welcome program was held at International Terminal T2 - Da Nang International Airport.
Within the framework of the program, many welcoming activities have been implemented such as lion dances, giving flowers and souvenirs, taking souvenir photos and displaying and introducing Da Nang tourism publications.

According to the latest updated plan, in 2026, Anex Vietnam is expected to bring about 60,000 Russian tourists and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) to Da Nang, focusing on exploitation in the period from April 16 to October 30, with a stay of at least 9 nights/tourist.
In total, the planned routes are about 40 flights/month, thereby making an important contribution to a significant increase in the number of passengers from the Russian and CIS markets to Da Nang in the peak period of 2026.
In the context that Vietnam's tourism industry is focusing on restoring key international markets, the Russian and CIS markets are considered strategic tourist sources, capable of bringing stable output, long stays and high targets.
This is a group of tourists who play an important role in increasing revenue and extending the tourist season for destinations. According to statistics, in the first 3 months of 2026, Da Nang city welcomed about 2.3 million international visitors, of which Russian and CIS tourists reached more than 100,000, accounting for about 4.35%.
The city's tourism industry sets a target to grow by 30-40% in 2026 compared to 2025, and expects to continue to strongly expand this market.
In the past time, Da Nang tourism industry has promoted and advertised in the Russian and CIS markets through participating in the MITT International Tourism Fair (11-13. 3) - the largest event in the region; although it is the first time participating, it has been honored as a destination attracting the attention of international media.
At the same time, the city's tourism industry is implementing the Da Nang tourism promotion campaign to the Russian and CIS markets on the Yango ecosystem from April to June 2026; Coordinating with travel agencies such as Anex, Crystal Bay, airlines and tourism businesses to organize welcoming famtrip delegations from Russia and CIS to survey services in Da Nang.
Expanding the operation of flight routes from Russia and the CIS not only contributes to diversifying the passenger market but also creates leverage for Da Nang to continue to affirm its position as an attractive international destination in the Asia-Pacific region.
