On the afternoon of April 15, the opening ceremony of the art exhibition with the theme "Colors of Quang Land" took place in Da Nang City. The event gathered 36 generations of painters and sculptors, bringing a colorful art space to celebrate the 51st anniversary of the Liberation of the South, national reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2026).
The exhibition introduces to the public 43 unique works of art, including 38 paintings and 5 sculptures. The works are expressed through many shaping languages and rich materials such as oil paint, silk, acrylic, graphics, circular statues, reliefs...
Each work is a separate lens of the artist, truthfully and vividly reflecting the beauty of people, historical and cultural relics, architectural works, festivals and scenic spots of the Central region. Through 51 years after the country's peace, Da Nang has not only risen to become a dynamic and modern city but also constantly preserving and promoting the depth of unique culture.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Huynh Dinh Quoc Thien - Director of Da Nang Museum said: "With 43 selected works, the exhibition brings a colorful picture of Da Nang, from the beauty of nature, people to historical and cultural imprints and contemporary rhythm of life. Each work is an artistic cut, contributing to enriching the perspective of the land and people here".
At the event, Mr. Nguyen Nho Khiem - Chairman of the Da Nang City Union of Literature and Arts Associations commented: "The 43 works on display this time have shown a fairly clear structure of the city's fine arts today. On one side is the trend of realism, expressiveness based on experience and on the other side is the trend of finding a new metaphysical language, new concepts".
Mr. Khiem added that many artists no longer simply record scenery but promote the elements of light, rhythm and visual emotions. In the three-dimensional space segment, artists focus on reducing the storytelling element to increase symbolism.
According to the Organizing Committee, the event is of special significance as it is the first time the Da Nang Museum has organized an exhibition gathering painters and sculptors of the city in the context after the merger of cultural institutions.
The exhibition "Colors of Quang Land" opens freely to welcome people and tourists to visit and admire from April 15 to the end of May 5.
