On the morning of January 29 (the first day of the Lunar New Year 2025), spiritual places such as Linh Ung Pagoda, Quan The Am Pagoda, and Nam Son Pagoda welcomed crowds of people coming to offer incense and pray for a peaceful and lucky new year. The solemn and sacred atmosphere combined with the brilliant colors of apricot and peach blossoms created a beautiful spring picture.
According to Ms. Thanh Tam - a resident of Da Nang City, this year the weather is sunny so she and her family visited Quang Minh Pagoda (Lien Chieu District, Da Nang City) to pray for a smooth, peaceful and prosperous new year.
"On the first day of the year, my family often chooses spiritual destinations such as Nam Son Pagoda to burn incense and pray for good luck at the beginning of the year. This is my family's tradition," said Ms. Tam.
Not only at temples and pagodas, tourist attractions such as Bach Dang walking street, Dragon bridge, Han river bridge, and East Sea park also attract many tourists to visit and take pictures.
The hustle and bustle of the first day of the new year promises a bumper tourist season for the coastal city of Da Nang. The city government has also implemented many measures to ensure security, order, and environmental sanitation, bringing tourists the most complete experience during the Tet holiday.
This morning, the Department of Tourism of Da Nang City coordinated with Da Nang Port Joint Stock Company and the Border Guard Command of Da Nang Port (Da Nang City Border Guard Command) to welcome more than 800 American tourists on the Crystal Symphony cruise ship.
The welcoming activities were organized by the Da Nang Department of Tourism in coordination with the Da Nang Port Joint Stock Company and the Da Nang Port Border Guard, with lion dances, flowers and souvenirs from the city's tourism. The Crystal Symphony ship departed from Singapore on January 18, passing through Thailand and Cambodia before arriving in Vietnam. In Da Nang, visitors will visit famous destinations such as Linh Ung Son Tra Pagoda, the Museum of Cham Sculpture, and My Khe Beach.
According to the Department of Tourism of Da Nang City, on the occasion of the Lunar New Year of At Ty 2025 (from December 26, Giap Thin year to the 5th day of Tet At Ty 2025), Da Nang City is expected to welcome more than 456,000 tourists to visit and travel, an increase of 13.5% compared to the holiday in 2024.
Of which, international visitors are estimated to reach more than 221,000. Da Nang Tourism Industry has prepared new products and accommodation facilities to serve tourists during Tet.
