This is the first charter flight directly connecting Moscow and Da Nang, marking an important step in the recovery of the Russian tourist market to Central Vietnam.
As soon as they landed, the delegation was welcomed by the Da Nang Tourism Promotion Center with souvenirs, traditional conical hats and performances of Vietnamese folk musical instruments.
The exploitation of direct charter flights from Moscow is expected to create strong momentum for the recovery of the Russian tourist market and the CIS region, while promoting international tourism growth in the Central region.
According to statistics, in the first 4 months of 2026, Da Nang welcomed more than 142,000 visitors from Russia and CIS countries, accounting for about 3.7% of the total number of international visitors, an increase of more than 20% compared to the same period last year.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoai An, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang city, said that having a direct flight from Moscow to Da Nang is an important milestone in the process of reconnecting the Russian tourist market with Central Vietnam.
In the context of international tourism recovering and restructuring, the city continues to affirm its position as an attractive, safe and experiential destination for international tourists.
