On the afternoon of May 17, at the Workshop "Da Nang Tourism in the New Era: Integration and Breakthrough", Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Thi - Vice Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee said that Da Nang city's tourism activities are growing strongly, a bright spot in the city's socio-economic development process.
In the first 4 months of 2025, the number of guests served by accommodation establishments reached more than 3.5 million, an increase of 18.6% over the same period in 2024. Of which, international visitors reached more than 1.7 million, an increase of 43% over the same period in 2024, domestic visitors reached nearly 1.8 million, an increase of 2.2% over the same period last year. Revenue from accommodation, food and beverage, and travel in the first 4 months of 2025 reached more than VND 11,400 billion, up 22.5% over the same period in 2024.
During the April 30 and May 1, 2025 holidays, Da Nang city welcomed about 610,000 visitors, an increase of more than 50% over the same period last year. Total revenue from tourism activities during the 5 holidays in Da Nang is estimated at 2,426 billion VND, an increase of more than 50% over the same period in 2024.
In the coming time, implementing the policy of merging Quang Nam province and Da Nang city will not only expand geographical space, making Da Nang city the largest centrally-governed city in the country, but also open up a completely new development vision.
In that context, the tourism industry of Da Nang city needs to be carefully prepared and play a pioneering role in the process of restructuring the common development space to maximize the potential of culture, natural resources and enhance regional connectivity, emphasized the Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City.
