Online travel platform Agoda has just announced booking data for the first half of 2026. In the ranking of Asian cities with the highest rate of international tourists returning, Da Nang has excellently increased 2 places compared to the previous year, rising to 6th place.
Vietnam's coastal city officially ranks above a series of famous tourist destinations in the region such as Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Fukuoka (Japan), Taipei (Taiwan, China) and Johor Bahru (Malaysia). Leading the Asian ranking this year are Tokyo (Japan), Bangkok (Thailand), Bali (Indonesia), Seoul (Korea) and Osaka (Japan) respectively.
In the domestic market, Da Nang affirmed its leading position in terms of the return rate of tourists in the first 6 months of the year. The next positions in Vietnam's Top 5 respectively belong to Ho Chi Minh City, Nha Trang, Hanoi and Phu Quoc.
At the national level, Vietnam ranks 3rd among Asian countries with the highest rate of international visitors returning, only behind Japan and Thailand.
According to Agoda, Da Nang's sustainable attraction comes from the advantage of convenient connecting transport infrastructure, a high-class resort service system and a series of diverse entertainment activities. The city possesses a harmonious combination of natural landscapes, beautiful beaches, modern urban space and a richness of local culture and cuisine. This richness helps tourists always find new experiences every time they return.
