According to the Management Board of the Stork Island Ecotourism Area, Chi Lang Nam Commune (Thanh Mien, Hai Duong), from January 25-31 (from December 26 to January 3), the Stork Island Ecotourism Area welcomed more than 3,000 visitors, equivalent to the Lunar New Year holiday last year.
To attract visitors, the Management Board has provided boat and swan boat services for visitors. In addition, safety and hygiene are focused on, ensuring visitors have an impressive experience when coming to the Stork Island Eco-tourism Area.
From 2023 to present, Co Island Eco-tourism Area still maintains the sale of electronic tickets to bring visitors convenient services and transparent information. Boat tickets cost 20,000 VND/adult.
Taking his family on a spring trip to the Stork Island Eco-tourism Area at the beginning of the year, Mr. Tran Hong Ha (Thanh Mien district, Hai Duong province) said: "At the beginning of the new year, I took my wife and children to visit Stork Island. My children were very excited because they were able to immerse themselves in nature.
This year, the weather was favorable so we didn't feel tired when we went out. Besides visiting Stork Island, my children also painted statues and pedaled ducks at the tourist area."
Chi Lang Nam Stork Island is a famous scenic spot in Thanh Mien district, Hai Duong province. It is considered the common home of tens of thousands of storks, herons, and water birds, many of which are rare species listed in the Vietnam Red Book.
Chi Lang Nam Stork Island currently has 2 islands including the main island with the scientific name of Island 3A located in the west of the lake with an area of over 4,500 m2 and the eastern island, also known as Island 3B, with an area of over 7,100 m2. Currently, Stork Island is home to over 18,000 storks and over 8,000 herons.
Of these, there are 9 species of storks including white stork, red stork, egret, fly-throated stork, musk-billed stork, white-throated stork, white-throated stork, white-throated stork, swallow-throated stork, and egret, and 3 species of heron including grey heron, green-backed heron, and star-studded heron... originating from China, India, and Myanmar.
