According to information from the Saigon Railway Exploitation Branch, Vietnam Railway Corporation said that the unit has just issued Document No. 481/TB-CNSG announcing an increase in entrance ticket prices to Da Lat - Trai Mat station.
According to the above announcement, from October 1, 2024, the entrance fee to Da Lat station for people aged 6 and over will be 50,000 VND/trip. The Da Lat station operator will exempt tickets for children under 6 years old accompanied by adults and people with disabilities.
According to the Saigon Railway Exploitation Branch, to mobilize resources to supplement funds for maintenance, repair, and renovation of the station to match the national architectural works and enhance the image of the tourist station as well as increase the amenities serving tourists when visiting Da Lat station.
Therefore, the management and operation unit of Da Lat station will increase the ticket price from the current VND 5,000/trip to VND 50,000/trip from October 1, 2024.
This ticket price only applies to sightseeing, entertainment and using some free services in the Da Lat station architectural relic area, not including transportation fee to experience the Da Lat - Trai Mat railway line.
If you buy a ticket to experience the Da Lat - Trai Mat railway route, you will be exempted from entrance fees (including entrance fee).
Regarding the ticket price to visit Da Lat station increasing 10 times compared to before, Lam Dong province authorities proposed to consider and adjust.
On September 12, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lam Dong province officially requested the Saigon Railway Exploitation Branch, under the Vietnam Railway Corporation, to consider adjusting the entrance fee at Da Lat station to suit tourists.
This proposal aims to build a roadmap and diversify tourism products, thereby proposing optimal solutions to preserve and promote the value of heritage.
The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lam Dong province also stated that it is necessary to avoid negative public opinion that affects the brand image of the architectural relic of Da Lat station.
