On April 7, the Khanh Hoa Provincial Cultural Heritage Conservation Center said that it has proposed a list of 32 national and provincial-level relics that need to be prioritized for restoration and embellishment in the period from now to 2030.
This proposal aims to gradually preserve and promote the value of cultural heritage, while meeting the requirements of socio-economic development of the locality.
Out of a total of 32 relics, 5 relics have been issued resolutions by the Provincial People's Council approving investment policies for repair and restoration, including: Quang Hoi communal house, Hien Luong communal house, Ngoc Hoi communal house, Phuoc Tuy communal house and Dong Nhon communal house.

In addition, 7 relics have been allowed by the Provincial People's Committee to prepare reports proposing investment policies, including: My Trach communal house, Dai Cat communal house, Phap Hai pagoda, Binh Tay mausoleum communal house, Vinh Phu communal house, Chap Le communal house and the tomb of Thuong Thu Nguyen Xuan Thuc.
In addition, 5 relics have completed the preparation of investment policy proposal reports, including: Cau Da Villa, the relic site of Doctor A. Yersin's Office, Thien Hau Hai Nam Temple, Dong Tran Military Ordnance Workshop and Vinh Diem communal house.
For the group of 12 other relics, the Center has proposed cost estimates according to the direction of the Provincial People's Committee, including: Khanh Thanh communal house, doctor A. Yersin's tomb area, Tan Loc communal house, Van Son communal house, Am Chua, Xom Banh temple, Ba Vu mausoleum, Trinh Phong temple, Khanh Nhon communal house, Dak Nhon communal house, Du Khanh communal house and Hoa Diem archaeological site.
Notably, there are 3 seriously degraded relics that have just been surveyed and added to the list, including: Ninh Quy communal house, Dong Son temple and Dao Long communal house.
According to the Provincial Cultural Heritage Conservation Center, to date, 22 relics have been extracted from land and identified as VN-2000 coordinates.
In 2026, the unit will deploy measurement and drawing of the current status of relics to serve the work of preparing dossiers, repairing, and restoring.
For some relics that are facing planning problems, affecting the implementation progress, the Center will study and propose to transfer the restoration and embellishment project to other relics in the priority list to ensure investment efficiency and implementation progress.
Mr. Tran Duc Ha - Director of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Cultural Heritage Conservation Center - shared that the proposal to prioritize the restoration of 32 relics by 2030 is not only of pure conservation significance, but also reflects the great expectations of state management agencies in creating comprehensive changes for the field of cultural heritage in the province.
First of all, management agencies expect the implementation of this list to contribute to preventing the prolonged degradation and damage at many relics, especially works that have been identified as seriously degraded.
Timely restoration is considered a fundamental solution to protect the root element, avoiding the risk of irreparable loss.
