The scope of planning research has a total area of 2,428.83ha, including: Chi Lang Historical Relic Area, with 24 special national relic sites, an area of 284.23ha and 22 national relic sites, an area of 150.41ha; Chi Lang Temple, an area of 100ha and a landscape space connecting planning research areas, an area of 1,894.2ha.
The planning scale has a total area of 198.81ha; of which: Protection Area I has a total area of 98.45ha and Protection Area II has a total area of 100.36ha; including the entire scope of protection area of 24 component relics belonging to the Special National Relic Chi Lang Historical Relic; divided into 5 relic clusters, specifically:
Cluster 1 includes relics: Ba Dan village, Luy Ngo The, Ba Dang mountain, Tram bridge (Phu Kieu bridge), Quan Nang temple, Kho citadel and Vuc Boi.
Cluster 2 includes relics: Ma Yen mountain, Bai Dam, Dinh gate, Ky Lan mountain, Bau citadel and Lan Giao.
Cluster 3 includes relics: Ma San mountain and Phoenix mountain.
Cluster 4 includes relics: Hao beach, Quy Mon temple, Dong Quan arena, Trong citadel, Mat Quy mountain, Luy Ai Chi Lang and Quy mountain.
Cluster 5 includes relics: Lang Trung Pagoda and Chon Ruot Hill.
The goal of making relic planning is to fully identify the value of the complex of component relics belonging to the National Special Relic Chi Lang Historical Relic; solve inadequacies in population, tourism development, and technical infrastructure; complete the system of records and data as a basis for digital transformation and automation in management; determine the functions and land use indicators for relic areas, residential areas, and ecological environmental protection areas.
Preserving and promoting the outstanding values of the relic, becoming a place to educate patriotism, enhance national pride for generations of Vietnamese people, is an attractive cultural and historical tourism complex associated with the characteristics of Chi Lang land, a key tourist destination of Lang Son province.
According to the orientation of promoting the value of relics associated with tourism development, the market for tourists coming to relics includes international tourists and domestic tourists; in which domestic tourists are the key market.
Investing in building the relic to become a central tourist destination, a driving force for the development of Chi Lang commune, Lang Son province, connecting with tourist areas and spots in the province, region and internationally.
