Due to the hot weather in recent weeks over a wide area, many tourists have come to Sam Son beach to swim and relax. Realizing the large number of visitors, some subjects illegally provide water motorbike services.
There were even times when the beach was packed with people, and these motorbikes still rushed into the beach area to offer services.
The above situation causes chaos in the swimming space and is potentially dangerous for tourists. "We were bathing when motorbikes from this water rushed close to greet us. There are times when I get close to people and can hit them at bad times" - Mr. Hoang Duong, a tourist from Hanoi, shared.
Mr. Trinh Tien Dung - Chairman of the People's Committee of Sam Son Ward, Thanh Hoa Province - said that immediately after receiving information about the illegal operation of water motorbikes, the ward authorities began investigating and organizing ambushes to seize the vehicles.
"Through the inspection, we discovered a group of people driving a water motorbike illegally operating at the beach. Local authorities have promoted tourists not to participate in the activities of this group. At the same time, the authorities also deploy measures to handle violations" - Mr. Dung informed.
According to the representative of Sam Son Ward People's Committee, the subjects launched water motorbikes from other localities to Sam Son for operation. Currently, the local authorities do not have specialized means to catch them, so the handling is difficult.
However, to ensure the safety of tourists when swimming in the sea, in the coming days, local authorities will continue to direct functional forces to coordinate with the Police and Border Guards to arrange people and vehicles to ambush and arrest violators.
