The People's Committee of Sam Son city has issued a plan to manage business activities for 4-wheel electric vehicles in the area.
Accordingly, Sam Son City currently has 474 4-wheel electric vehicles managed by 5 enterprises. The vehicles are allowed to operate 24/24 hours a day and stop, pick up and drop off passengers for no more than 3 minutes/trip. The routes allowed to circulate include main routes in the inner city, especially coastal areas, to ensure good service for tourists' travel and sightseeing needs.
To ensure traffic safety and order, the People's Committee of Sam Son City requires electric vehicles to meet technical standards, have a metering meter installed by the authorities, be equipped with a journey monitoring device and fully list the fare, regulations, and hotline on the vehicle.
4-wheeled electric vehicles must have a B2 driving license or higher, have a permanent residence permit or temporary residence registration in Sam Son city; are not subject to execution of a sentence, and are not a drug addict. In addition, drivers must participate in training organized by the City People's Committee, be granted a certificate according to regulations and wear uniforms according to the regulations of each enterprise.
In addition, electric vehicle drivers are also considered a tour guide, needing to have a civilized attitude, polite words, and be friendly with tourists. Before inviting guests to get on the bus, drivers must clearly announce how to calculate transportation fees according to meters or price agreements (agreed prices must not be higher than the listed prices).
The authorities also strictly prohibit drivers from acts such as soliciting, pressuring prices, using uncultured words, cursing, threatening, playing loud music, driving on the wrong route, speeding over the reckless speed limit, carrying passengers around to charge high fees, or receiving commissions from service establishments...
If the driver of a 4-wheel electric vehicle violates the above acts, the operation will be suspended for 7 to 30 days, depending on the number of violations.
To seriously implement the above contents, the People's Committee of Sam Son City assigned specialized departments and offices to coordinate with electric vehicle enterprises to organize the signing of a commitment to comply with regulations, while promoting propaganda to people and tourists.
