In the film, there is an image of the historic Hien Luong Bridge, so many people have come here. Meanwhile, items at Hien Luong bridge are being dismantled.
This upgrade is not only to preserve degraded items, but also to complete the United Park - a historical theme park, a place to educate the younger generation about traditional traditions.
However, many tourists coming here were surprised when they could not visit the relic that appeared in the highest-grossing film in the history of Vietnamese cinema.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyet Nhung (residing in Tan Lap commune, Quang Tri province) said that after watching the movie "Red Rain", she took her 2 children to Hien Luong bridge so that they could see the historic bridge with their own eyes, but at the right time this place was closed, so the whole family regrets it.
Tourists will have to wait a longer time to return. When the repair and upgrading is completed, Hien Luong Bridge will be more spacious, attractive and will continue to be a red address for revolutionary tradition education" - Mr. Truong Huu Hieu said.
Mr. Ngo Van Minh - Deputy Management Board of the Special National Relic Site on the banks of Hien Luong - Ben Hai informed that from the end of August until now, to ensure construction safety, the relic site has only opened its exhibition house, while all outdoor items have been temporarily closed.
The project to restore and conserve Thong Nho Park is not only related to Hien Luong Bridge but also in many important items at Hien Luong - Ben Hai Relic Site. This project is invested by the Quang Tri Provincial Investment and Construction Project Management Board, with a total investment of 80 billion VND, implemented from 2023 to 2025.
The project will implement key items including the flagpole and Hien Luong flagpole by replacing the flag pulling system, renovating the entrance for people with disabilities, paving natural stone, and renovating the basement into a documentary film studio.
For the joint housing items, renovate wooden structures, replace the palm roof, repair floors and railing systems, prevent termites, and add fire prevention and fighting equipment.
In particular, Hien Luong Bridge has been replaced with 894 Lao lim wooden boards, reinforced with high-intensity concrete pillars wrapped in carbon networks, and repainted with 2 typical green and yellow colors associated with history.
Landscape infrastructure such as adding trees, dredging fish ponds, upgrading walking paths, parking lots, lighting and drainage systems, building new management board offices, reception houses, North-South beach sanitation areas, and other auxiliary items will be completed. A special highlight is that after completion, Hien Luong Bridge will both preserve its historical characteristics and ensure safety and sustainability for visitors when visiting.
