After a long period of silence, sea tourism in Quat Lam (Giao Ninh commune) and Thinh Long (Hai Thinh commune) is gradually returning when Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee issued a sea tourism development plan for the period 2026 - 2030, with the orientation of repositioning and renewing the brand.
These days, the atmosphere at the above 2 tourist areas has become busier as many service businesses simultaneously repair and upgrade to prepare to welcome guests.
According to reporters of Lao Dong Newspaper, at Thinh Long tourist area, tourism service facilities are being repaired and renovated. Many facilities are replacing signboards, utensils, and equipment to create a more spacious appearance after a period of lack of customers.
According to statistics, Thinh Long tourist area has about 80 accommodation establishments, including 3 3-star standard hotels and 4 2-star hotels, with more than 600 comfortable rooms.
Sharing with PV, Mr. Tran Van Sac, owner of Tan Thinh Hotel in Thinh Long tourist area - said that from the beginning of April, the hotel has been renovating the premises, planting additional trees, repairing swimming pools; and at the same time, painting, cleaning, upgrading more than 100 rooms and accompanying services to be ready to welcome guests.
In mid-April, about 60% of the rooms have been pre-booked by guests for the holidays. This tourist season, Tan Thinh Hotel is expected to welcome about 10,000 visitors," Mr. Sac said.
Not only upgrading facilities, many businesses also focus on improving service quality, retraining employees, and building diverse menus at reasonable prices.
Ms. Tran Thi Cam, owner of a accommodation establishment in Thinh Long, said that the current competitive factor is not only the price but also the tourist experience. Ms. Cam's establishment focuses on renovating rooms, adding basic amenities and paying attention to service attitudes to retain customers for a long time.
Similarly, at Quat Lam tourist area, business households are also busy renovating facilities, adding entertainment and dining services to increase attractiveness.
Mr. Doan Phi Truong - Vice Chairman of Giao Ninh Commune People's Committee said that to promote sea tourism development, to date, traffic infrastructure in the Quat Lam area has been invested in and increasingly completed. The Nam Dinh - Lac Quan route - the coastal road put into operation has shortened the travel time from Hanoi to Quat Lam tourist area to just over 2 hours.
Ninh Binh opens the 2026 Sea Tourism season
Ninh Binh Department of Tourism has just issued a plan to organize the opening of the 2026 Sea Tourism season, this is an important event within the framework of Ninh Binh Tourism Week this year.
The opening program of the 2026 sea tourism season is expected to take place on the evening of April 28th at Thinh Long beach tourist area, Hai Thinh commune. At the program, a series of rich activities take place such as introducing sea tourism products, OCOP promotion space, local cuisine. Along with that, at the program, unique cultural and artistic activities such as stilt walking performances, kite flying festivals... create a vibrant and experiential atmosphere for tourists.
In the summer of 2026, Ninh Binh will focus on effectively exploiting sea tourism areas such as Thinh Long, Rang Dong, Quat Lam, Kim Son with typical products associated with ecological experiences, community life and coastal culinary culture. In parallel, continue to invest in infrastructure, improve service quality and build a safe, friendly, and attractive tourism environment for tourists.
