To ensure traffic at the expanded "Returning to Hoa Ban - Dien Bien Phu" Cycling and Cross-country Race within the framework of the 2026 Hoa Ban Festival, functional forces organize road bans and temporary traffic diversion from 7-9 am, March 7 (adjusted according to reality).
Specifically, the cycling event starts from 7-8:30, with two distances of 10 km and 20 km. The route starts in front of 7/5 Square on Vo Nguyen Giap street, to km 13, National Highway 279 and returns to the finish line opposite 7/5 Square.
The cross-country running event takes place from 7-9:30 am, including two distances of 5 km and 10 km. Athletes start at 7/5 square, move along Vo Nguyen Giap street, turn around at the prescribed points and finish at the starting position.
Vo Nguyen Giap street in Dien Bien Phu ward will be closed in each direction after athletes start and pass through for about 10 minutes, then vehicles will be allowed to circulate again.
Traffic control posts are arranged at the Tran Dang Ninh intersection roundabout, intersections along the Vo Nguyen Giap - National Highway 279 route and the intersection to the Him Lam Eco-tourism Area.
Vehicles are guided to circulate on alternative routes such as: Nguyen Chi Thanh, Be Van Dan, Phan Dinh Giot.
According to the Organizing Committee, signs, barriers, and reflective wires are fully installed; police, traffic inspectors and volunteers coordinate to ensure order and safety.
