On July 10, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dien Bien province (Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism) organized a meeting with cultural, artistic, and sports clubs (CLBs), community tourism villages and tourism businesses.
At the conference, Mr. Tran Hai Ha - Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dien Bien province gave a series of orientations for building a tourism development alliance.
Accordingly, the Department will work with clubs, community tourism villages, and businesses to build a chain of tourism products associated with community tourism villages, cultural and sports clubs, and businesses to diversify experiences for tourists.

Art performances and traditional craft performances will be organized at tourist destinations, accommodation establishments and public spaces to promote local culture.
At the same time, the province will support training and communication for clubs, implement policies for 7 community tourism villages, implement demand stimulus programs in the low season and strengthen links between units to create motivation for tourism development in the 2026-2027 period.
At the program, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and more than 30 cultural and artistic clubs and businesses jointly signed a memorandum of understanding on tourism development.
According to statistics, in the first 6 months of 2026, Dien Bien province welcomed about 999,000 tourist arrivals, reaching 61.9% of the annual plan and increasing 1.2 times compared to the same period in 2025. Total revenue from tourism reached 1,794 billion VND.

According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dien Bien province, the above results were achieved thanks to a series of cultural, sports and tourism activities organized throughout the year, notably the Ban Flower Festival 2026, the first air tourist welcoming program, the "27 Dien Bien Cuisine Flavors" Culinary Festival and many national-level sports tournaments.
Currently, the whole province has 251 accommodation establishments with more than 3,300 rooms, 6 travel businesses and 11 recognized tourist destinations.
In the last 6 months of the year, Dien Bien will continue to implement tourism development policies, build 7 community tourism villages and organize many major events such as the 4th National Mong Ethnic Culture Festival, the International Folk Song and Dance Festival - Vietnam Steps 2026 and the A Pa Chai Conquest Marathon to continue to promote its image and attract tourists.
