Early morning and evening of November 21, the temperature in the Fansipan mountain area was low, sometimes -3 degrees Celsius. The influence of the cold air in the early winter caused a thin layer of salt and fog on the way, the stone steps up and down, the wooden floors for tourists to watch the clouds.



Similarly, frost appeared early on the road leading to Ta Xua peak, surprising the tourism community and local people.
Mr. Phang A Chia said that in the 14 years he has been leading guests to Ta Xua, it was the first time he had seen frost appear so early. Early in the morning, the layer of ice adheres to the branches and grasps and spreads down the road at an altitude of about 2,600 m.

According to the forecast, the temperature in the Fansipan and Ta Xua mountains will remain low at night and on the morning of November 22, with the possibility of further ice and snow and frost.
The end of 2025 and the beginning of 2026 are considered the period of harsher weather, with the risk of severe cold.
In the high mountainous areas of Lao Cai, extreme phenomena such as ice, frost, and even snow may appear with higher frequency.
