According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lao Cai province, in October 2025, tourism activities in the area continued to flourish, maintaining a stable growth momentum with impressive results in both visitors and revenue.
During the month, the whole province welcomed over 689,800 visitors, including more than 143,000 international visitors. Total revenue from tourism is estimated at VND 2,677 billion.
In the first 10 months of 2025, Lao Cai is expected to welcome about 9.4 million visitors. Total revenue from tourism is estimated at VND38,878 billion, equal to 83.69% of the annual plan (VND46,455 billion).
Of which, the number of foreign visitors is estimated at about 1,195 million - a number that shows the increasingly large attraction of Lao Cai on the international tourism map.
This result shows that Lao Cai tourism is recovering strongly thanks to information, promotion, market development, human resources and tourism products being deployed synchronously and flexibly.
Tourist centers such as: Sa Pa, Bac Ha, Bat Xat, Mu Cang Chai, Tu Le, Thac Ba Lake... continue to be attractive destinations for domestic and foreign tourists.
