People and tourists can come to enjoy the diversity and uniqueness of Southern folk cake cuisine at locations arranged in Binh Thuy District Square, Can Tho City.
In order to show mourning, Mr. Khamtay Siphandone and stemming from the special relationship between Vietnam and Laos, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the National Assembly, the President, the Government and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front decided to mourn Mr. Khamtay Siphandone according to the national mourning ritual in 2 days, from 4 to 5.4.2025, according to special statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on 3.4.
The 12th Southern Folk Cake Festival in 2025 will take place from 4 to 8.4. This is the largest cake festival in the West, about 231 stalls; Gathering artisans and units from 18 provinces and cities in the Mekong Delta, as well as the Northern, Central and Central Highlands provinces. In particular, the festival will have the appearance of the "superlative" and "super -largest banh chung in the Mekong Delta".
A new highlight of this year's festival is a 25% reduction in booth rental costs compared to 2024. This is to create more favorable conditions for artisans to participate, introduce and create unique folk cakes.
