The Meteorological Center gives a forecast on the path and development of storm No. 5 Krathon in the East Sea.

According to the latest storm information from the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, at 4:00 a.m. on October 2, the center of the storm was located at about 21.6 degrees North latitude; 119.2 degrees East longitude, in the northeastern sea of ​​the North East Sea. The strongest wind near the center of the storm is level 14-15 (150-183 km/h), gusting to level 17; moving in a West-Northwest direction, at a speed of about 5 km/h.

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, Typhoon Krathon is not expected to affect coastal and inland areas of Vietnam.

It is forecasted that at 4:00 a.m. on October 3, storm No. 5 Krathon will move to the North-Northeast at a speed of about 5 km/h, at 23 degrees North latitude; 120.5 degrees East longitude, in the southern area of ​​Taiwan (China) with an intensity of level 11-12, gusting to level 15.

By October 4, the storm will continue to move northeast at a speed of 10 km/h and gradually weaken to level 8, gusting to level 11.

The storm is forecast to weaken into a tropical depression over the sea northeast of Taiwan (China).

Meanwhile, according to information from the Taiwan (China) Meteorological Center (CWA), storm Krathon is currently moving at a speed of 6 km/h and may increase to 10 km/h in the next 24 hours.

The minimum surface pressure was recorded at 910 hPa, with maximum winds near the center of the storm reaching 55 m/s and gusts up to 68 m/s. The radius of influence of 15 m/s winds was up to 220 km.

In addition, mountainous areas of Pingtung County, Taitung County, and many other areas in Taiwan (China) have been warned of the possibility of heavy rain from the night of October 2.

Given the above weather situation, tourists planning to travel to Taiwan (China) and neighboring areas should regularly check information from meteorological agencies and weather forecasts to stay updated on storm conditions.
