During this cold spell, the weather in the North and North Central regions will be cool; cold at night and early morning, especially in the mountainous areas of the North. The lowest temperature in the North and Thanh Hoa is generally from 19-22 degrees Celsius, in mountainous areas 17-19 degrees Celsius, in high mountainous areas below 16 degrees Celsius; in Nghe An-Ha Tinh, the lowest temperature is generally from 20-23 degrees Celsius.

On October 2, in the area from Southern Nghe An to Thua Thien Hue, there will be moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, locally very heavy rain with common rainfall from 30-60mm, locally over 150mm.

The areas of Ha Tinh and Quang Binh provinces continue to have rain with the following common amounts: Ha Tinh has rain from 20-50mm, some places over 100mm; Quang Binh has rain from 30-60mm, some places over 120mm.

According to current forecasts, storm No. 5 Krathon is unlikely to affect coastal areas and mainland Vietnam. The tropical depression is moving mainly in the North-Northwest direction at about 10km per hour and weakening into a tropical depression.
