According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, from the night of November 27-28, in the area from Ha Tinh to Khanh Hoa, there will be rain and showers; in the area from Ha Tinh to Thua Thien Hue and from Binh Dinh to Khanh Hoa, there will be rain, moderate rain, locally heavy rain and thunderstorms with rainfall from 10-30mm, locally over 60mm.
During thunderstorms, residents and visitors should be on guard against the possibility of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind. Localized heavy rains can cause flooding in low-lying areas; flash floods in small rivers and streams; and landslides on steep slopes.
It is forecasted that November 27-28 will be the coldest period of this cold spell. During the day and night of November 28, the lowest temperatures in the North and North Central regions will not change. However, the average temperature will increase slightly, around 19 - 21 degrees Celsius, in mountainous areas 17 - 19 degrees Celsius. From November 29, the North and North Central regions will have rain in some places, with intermittent sunshine during the day; temperatures will tend to increase gradually. The nights and mornings will be cold.
