According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, cold air has affected the Northeast region of the North; at Bach Long Vi station, there were strong Northeast winds of level 6, gusting to level 7.
Cold air continues to affect other places in the Northeast; then affects the North Central, most places in the Northwest and some places in the Central Central. Northeast wind inland is strong at level 3, coastal areas at level 4.
In the Northeast and North Central regions, it will be cold at night and in the morning, and cold during the day. The lowest temperature during this cold spell in the North and North Central regions is generally between 17-19 degrees Celsius, and in mountainous areas, it will be below 15 degrees Celsius.
Due to the influence of disturbances in the upper easterly wind zone combined with the strengthening of cold air, in the area from Thanh Hoa to Phu Yen there will be widespread heavy rain and thunderstorms; in the Northeast there will be scattered rain and showers. During thunderstorms there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.
The area from Ha Tinh to Quang Ngai has heavy to very heavy rain with rainfall from 100-300mm, locally over 500mm. Warning of the risk of local heavy rain (>150mm/6 hours). In addition, the South Central, Central Highlands and Southern regions have scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain with rainfall from 15-30mm, locally over 60mm (thunderstorms are concentrated in the afternoon and evening).
