According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the area from Da Nang to Binh Thuan, the Central Highlands and the South will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally with rainfall ranging from 15-30mm, locally over 70mm (rain concentrated in the late afternoon and at night).
From the night of October 6 to October 7, in the area from Ha Tinh to Thua Thien Hue, there will be moderate rain and thunderstorms, with some places experiencing heavy rain. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind. Localized heavy rain can cause flooding in low-lying areas; flash floods on small rivers and streams, and landslides on steep slopes.
In October, the Northern region will be affected by 3-4 new air waves in October and tend to increase in frequency and intensity from November.
