According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, Binh Thuan, the Southern Central Highlands and the South will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain with rainfall from 15-30mm, locally over 70mm (rain concentrated in the late afternoon and evening).
The thunderstorms are caused by a stable continental cold high pressure, forming a low pressure trough with an axis at about 6-9 degrees North latitude. The equatorial low pressure trough tends to lift its axis northward through the South and South Central regions, gradually weakening around October 11-12.
Northern region and Thanh Hoa: no rain at night, early morning has scattered fog and light fog, sunny day; cold at night and early morning, cold in mountainous areas.
From Nghe An to Quang Tri, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, with heavy rain in some places, from October 6 from Ha Tinh to Quang Tri.
