From tonight to December 15, the North and Thanh Hoa will experience severe cold, with mountainous areas experiencing severe cold. The lowest temperature during this cold spell will generally be 10-13 degrees Celsius, 7-10 degrees Celsius in mountainous areas, and below 5 degrees Celsius in high mountainous areas.
Dien Bien area and from Nghe An to Quang Binh are cold, some places are very cold. The lowest temperature in this cold air mass is generally from 12-15 degrees Celsius, in Dien Bien area some places are below 11 degrees Celsius.
The Hanoi area will be very cold tomorrow. The lowest temperature in this cold air mass is generally 10-13 degrees Celsius. Due to the influence of cold air combined with disturbances in the high-altitude East wind zone, from now until about December 15, in the area from Quang Tri to Khanh Hoa, there will be moderate rain, heavy rain, locally very heavy rain and thunderstorms, with rainfall ranging from 60-160mm, locally over 300mm.
Warning of risk of local heavy rain (>100mm/6h). From the night of December 15, heavy rain will gradually decrease in the Central region.
The Central Highlands and the South will have scattered showers and thunderstorms tomorrow, with some places experiencing heavy rain. People should be on guard against thunderstorms that may include tornadoes, lightning, and strong gusts of wind.
