According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the cold air mass in the North is continuing to move south.
Around the night of September 21 and early morning of September 22, this cold air mass will affect the Northeast region, then affect most of the Northwest region and some places in the North Central region. The wind will change to the Northeast at level 3 inland, level 4-5 in coastal areas.
On September 22-23, the weather in the North and Thanh Hoa will turn cool, while some mountainous areas in the North will be cold. During this cold air mass, the lowest temperature in the North and Thanh Hoa will be from 20-23 degrees Celsius, while in mountainous areas, it will be below 19 degrees Celsius.
In the midlands and the Northern Delta, Hoa Binh, there will be moderate rain, heavy rain, locally very heavy rain and thunderstorms with common rainfall of 40-70mm, locally over 100mm; in the North and Central Central regions, there will be moderate rain, heavy rain, locally very heavy rain and thunderstorms with common rainfall of 50-150mm, locally over 200mm.
There is a possibility of a flood in the Hoang Long River basin. During this flood, the water level on the Hoang Long River is likely to rise to level BD1-BD2. Residents and tourists should be on guard against the high risk of landslides in mountainous areas, riverbank landslides, localized flooding in low-lying areas along rivers and urban areas in Hoa Binh, Ninh Binh and Nghe An provinces.
Hanoi
Lowest temperature: 23-25 degrees Celsius.
Highest temperature: 25-28 degrees Celsius.
Cloudy, moderate rain, heavy rain, very heavy rain in some places and scattered thunderstorms. Light northeast wind level 2-3. Thunderstorms have the possibility of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.
Northwest
Lowest temperature: 21-24 degrees Celsius, some places below 21 degrees Celsius.
Highest temperature: 25-28 degrees Celsius.
Cloudy, scattered showers and thunderstorms; Hoa Binh has moderate rain, heavy rain, some places have very heavy rain and scattered thunderstorms. Light wind. Thunderstorms have the possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.
Northeast
Lowest temperature: 23-26 degrees Celsius, in mountainous areas below 22 degrees Celsius.
Highest temperature: 25-28 degrees Celsius, in mountainous areas below 25 degrees Celsius.
Cloudy, scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain, especially in the midlands and plains with moderate rain, heavy rain and scattered thunderstorms, locally very heavy rain. Northeast wind level 3, coastal areas level 4-5. There is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind during thunderstorms. The weather will turn cool, some mountainous areas will turn cold.
Thanh Hoa - Thua Thien Hue
