Weather Forecast for tomorrow, September 26: Low pressure trough causes prolonged heavy rain in the South

MINH ANH |

Weather Forecast for tomorrow, September 26, the South is about to welcome a new round of thunderstorms due to the influence of low pressure.

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the low pressure trough with an axis through the Central region is gradually weakening. Above, the subtropical high pressure will encroach on the West and lift its axis to the North, from September 26-27 the axis will pass through the North Central region. Around October 1, the cold continental high pressure will strengthen and move down to the North of our country.

Therefore, from September 26 onwards, rain will increase again. The Southern region will have widespread thunderstorms again. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind. Beware of the possibility of heavy rain causing localized flooding in low-lying areas and areas with poor drainage capacity.

The water level on the Dong Nai River at Ta Lai fluctuates above level BD1. It is necessary to be on guard against the possibility of heavy rain combined with floods causing inundation, landslides on river banks, streams, and low-lying areas in Tan Phu and Dinh Quan districts of Dong Nai province and neighboring areas.

Floods on rivers continue to recede. The water levels downstream of Ma River, Hoang Long River and Ca River are below level 1. Flooding in Thach Thanh, Quan Hoa, Tho Xuan, Yen Dinh, Thieu Hoa, Thuong Xuan, Muong Lat, Cam Thuy and Nhu Xuan districts will continue for the next 1-2 days, then gradually decrease. There is a high risk of landslides in mountainous areas in Thanh Hoa and Nghe An provinces.

The sea area from Binh Thuan to Ca Mau, the South East Sea area (including the sea area of Truong Sa archipelago) has showers and thunderstorms. People and tourists need to be careful in thunderstorms with the possibility of tornadoes and strong gusts of wind level 7-8.
