According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the North and Thanh Hoa are affected by cold air, with some mountainous areas experiencing cold weather.
From October 4, there will be scattered fog and light fog in the early morning. There will be about 3-4 more cold spells in October 2024.
The area from Thua Thien Hue to Binh Thuan, the Central Highlands and the South has scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain with rainfall from 10-30mm, locally over 70mm (rain mainly concentrated in the afternoon and evening).
Regarding storm No. 5 Krathon, the current center of the storm is at about 22.5 degrees North latitude; 119.7 degrees East longitude, in the northeastern sea of the North East Sea. The strongest wind near the center of the storm is level 13 (134-149km/h), gusting to level 16; moving slowly in the North Northeast direction, speed about 5km/h.
Due to the influence of the storm, the northeastern sea area of the North East Sea (north of latitude 20N; east of longitude 117.5E) has strong winds of level 9-11, near the storm center of level 12-13, gusts of level 16, waves 6-8 m high; rough seas.
According to current forecasts, the storm is unlikely to affect coastal waters and mainland Vietnam.
