According to statistics from the Lao Cai Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, from February 14 to 22, the whole province welcomed 779,300 visitors, a sharp increase compared to the same period, including 724,700 domestic visitors and 54,600 international visitors.
Total revenue from tourism reached about 1,667 billion VND, showing signs of recovery and positive growth right from the first days of the new year.

Dry weather, light sunshine and bustling spring atmosphere have created favorable conditions for sightseeing and resort activities.
Across Lao Cai province, more than 100 cultural events, festivals, art programs, and folk games are organized, contributing to bringing many new experiences to tourists.
Famous destinations continue to record high visitor growth. In which, Bao Ha area welcomed about 230,000 visitors, Sa Pa attracted about 250,000 visitors.
The occupancy rate of rooms in the whole province reaches from 75-80%, especially Sa Pa is often fully booked, reaching from 95-100% on peak days.

Many other cultural and ecological tourist destinations also recorded stable visitor numbers such as Bac Ha, Mu Cang Chai, Tu Le, Dong Cuong and the Thac Ba Lake area with visitor numbers ranging from 8,000 to 23,000 visitors per locality.
These destinations attract tourists thanks to their pristine natural landscapes, unique national cultural identity and many spring festivals.
Assessments from the local tourism industry show that state management is implemented synchronously, accommodation and service establishments basically strictly comply with regulations on price listing, ensuring service quality. No sudden price increases or loss of security or tourism safety are recorded.

In addition, art performance programs, traditional festivals, sports activities and national cultural experiences are organized widely, creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere for people and tourists.
The image of a friendly, safe and culturally rich Lao Cai continues to spread strongly, contributing to consolidating its position as one of the leading attractive destinations in the Northwest region.
