According to a report by the Culture and Social Department of Sa Pa Ward, during the 7 days of the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year holiday 2026 (from February 14 to February 20), the total number of visitors to Sa Pa National Tourist Area reached 173,330, of which nearly 17,900 were international visitors and nearly 150,000 domestic visitors.
This is a noteworthy figure, showing that Sa Pa's attractiveness continues to be maintained stably, especially in the context of increasing demand for spring travel and resorts at the beginning of the year.
The number of visitors increased sharply right from the 1st day of Tet, reflecting the trend that many tourists choose to travel and experience instead of just gathering at home. The bustling spring travel atmosphere appeared early on many streets, attractions and tourist areas in the area.

Although in the afternoon of the 2nd and 3rd days of Tet, fog and light spring rain appeared, in general, Sa Pa's weather was quite mild, not too cold, favorable for outdoor activities.
Many key destinations such as Fansipan Sa Pa cable car tourist area, Ham Rong tourist area, Cat Cat tourist village open to welcome visitors throughout Tet, attracting a large number of tourists to visit, take photos and experience the scenery of spring mountains and forests.
Besides the natural advantages, unique cultural and festival activities organized early also contribute to creating attraction for the destination.
Prominent is the "Spring Festival Opening Heaven Gate" program in the Fansipan area, along with a series of folk games and traditional cultural performances at Sa Pa Cultural Park, bringing a joyful atmosphere, imbued with the highland identity, attracting a large number of people and tourists to participate.

In parallel with welcoming tourists, tourism management is deployed synchronously. Functional forces strengthen security and order, traffic safety, and guide and divert vehicles in crowded areas.
