Young people take advantage of holidays to travel far
Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong Giang (26 years old, Hanoi) said that her group of friends plans to spend 4 days and 3 nights going to the beach on September 2. According to her, the long break time helps the whole group to comfortably arrange their schedules, spend more time exploring and resting.
Normally we only take advantage of 2 weekend days, so it's quite rushed. This time we have a longer break, we want to go a little further and stay for a few days to have more time to experience," Ms. Giang shared.
Similarly, Mr. Hoang Trung Thai (27 years old, Hanoi) said that his group of friends also chose a long-day trip instead of nearby destinations. The group plans to spend 4 days on the journey, prioritizing rest and exploration time instead of continuous travel.
Having many days off, we want to take advantage of traveling far. If we only travel for 2 days, the travel time will be quite long, but traveling for 4 days will be more comfortable and we can experience many places," Mr. Thai said.
Spending many days on a trip helps young people not have to rush back after one or two days, and can also choose further destinations.
September 2nd holiday promotes long-day travel demand
According to Mr. Bui Thanh Tu - Marketing Director of BestPrice Travel Company, the number of customers registering for tours on September 2nd is currently increasing by about 50% compared to the same period last year. Long holidays also make the duration of trips tend to be longer.
Long vacations create conditions for customers to have more travel and experience time. Therefore, many people are considering 4-5 day trips instead of just short 2-3 days," Mr. Tu said.

Not only is there a change in duration, but the demand for other types of tourism is also differentiated. In which, resort tours combined with natural experiences, sea and mountain tours, and cultural tourism are of interest.
Customers are currently not only looking for a place to rest but also want to have more experiences during the trip. Therefore, destinations with both natural landscapes and sightseeing activities are having an advantage," Mr. Tu said.
Foreign tours in markets near Vietnam also recorded significant interest. China, Thailand and South Korea are chosen by many tourists when the holiday time is long enough, while tour prices are increasingly competitive.
With long holidays, customers have more choices for overseas trips. Some Asian markets have advantages in terms of distance, diverse products and reasonable prices," Mr. Tu shared.
For those who have not finalized their plans, Mr. Tu suggests booking services early to have more choices of flights, rooms and schedules, and at the same time limit the situation of price increases when close to the holiday.
If you decide to go, you should finalize in these days instead of waiting close to the holiday. Then, the possibility of choosing a flight, hotel and suitable itinerary will be higher," Mr. Tu recommended.
In addition to booking services early, tourists can proactively adjust the time and destination to avoid peak seasons. Going early or returning one day later, choosing less crowded places or staying in suburban areas can make the trip more comfortable.
It is not necessary to focus on too famous places. Choosing a less crowded area or in the suburbs can make the trip more comfortable, while still convenient for sightseeing," Mr. Tu shared.
