The Hung Kings Commemoration Day and the April 30 - May 1 holiday are creating a big boost for the tourism market as demand increases sharply, and many domestic and international tours achieve high occupancy rates.
A representative of BenThanh Tourist said that the business has launched more than 50 holiday tour programs with good prices. Many tours have been refreshed in terms of destinations and experiences, but prices have not increased significantly compared to the same period. Up to now, the occupancy rate has reached over 90%.
Northeast Asian tours such as Korea, China, Taiwan (China), Hong Kong (China) and Southeast Asia are all fully booked.
In the domestic market, this business still has some resort options such as Phan Thiet, Nha Trang, Da Lat. The Northern route only has a few seats left for the Hanoi - Sa Pa - Fansipan - Dragon Cloud Glass Bridge route, while the Central region tours have closed.
This business assesses that the long holiday helps tourists easily arrange time for 4- 8-day tours, especially overseas tours. Domestically, the Northern mountain routes, the Central heritage route and Phu Quoc still maintain stable attraction. General purchasing power increased by about 15 - 20% compared to the previous year.
Meanwhile, representatives of Viet Tourism Company said that the number of tourists registering for tours has increased sharply, the total number of tourists during the holidays increased by about 15% compared to the same period. Domestic tour prices also tend to increase by 10-15%, about 10% higher than in 2025. However, many groups of early booking customers still enjoy incentives of 5-10%, contributing to effective demand stimulation.
Domestic tourist routes continue to receive attention with a series of familiar destinations such as Northeast, Mekong Delta, Phu Quoc, Nam Du, Con Dao, Da Nang, Ha Long, and inner-city tours in Ho Chi Minh City.
In the opposite direction, tours to China, Japan, Thailand, Korea and Europe also recorded high number of visitors. Currently, most holiday tours are over 95% full.
Notably, to meet the increasing demand, this business has opened a new route to Taitung (Taiwan, China) in the form of a charter, with a price of about 13 million VND for a 5-day 4-night journey.
Mr. Pham Anh Vu - Deputy General Director of Viet Tourism Company assessed that in the context of a still volatile economy, more support policies are needed for the tourism industry to develop more sustainably. These include stimulus packages from the budget, VAT incentives for tourism services during peak seasons, and loan support to expand products.
At the same time, it is necessary to encourage the development of ecotourism, experience tours, small-scale MICE and green tourism to attract young tourist groups in the coming period.
