Short trips are becoming popular
This summer vacation, instead of spending a lot of time and money on long trips, many families and young people choose short trips of 2-3 days to rest, relax and regenerate energy.
Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Mai (Hanoi) said that this summer she and her family plan to go to Hai Phong for two days and one night.
The cost for the whole trip is only about 1.5 million VND/person, including travel, food and accommodation. For our family, this is a much more reasonable spending level than long flights," Ms. Mai shared.
Similarly, Ms. Le Trang's family (Hai Phong) just had a 2-day 1-night resort trip in Ha Long.
According to Ms. Trang, destinations near Hanoi help families save travel time and easily arrange their schedules on weekends.
We don't need to ask for long days off but still have time to rest and change the atmosphere. In the morning, we visit, in the afternoon we use the amenities in the resort (resort), so it's quite comfortable," Ms. Trang said.
Trends reflecting new lifestyles
According to Mr. Bui Thanh Tu, Marketing Director of BestPrice Travel Company, short-day tourism is increasingly popular, reflecting a modern lifestyle.
The rest time of many people is increasingly limited, while travel costs are constantly increasing. Short trips are becoming a suitable choice, both helping to relax, regenerate energy, and save time and costs," Mr. Tu said.
The development of the hotel and resort system in and around major cities also creates conditions for tourists to easily choose short trips.
Instead of waiting for a long vacation, many people choose short trips as a way to recharge after stressful working days," Mr. Tu said.
This trend reflects changes in the tourism concept of Vietnamese people, especially young people.

Many people prioritize balancing work and life, choosing short but frequent vacations instead of waiting for a big trip during the year. Geographical distance is no longer the most important factor, instead, tourists are more interested in the quality of the experience," Mr. Tu said.
It is forecasted that in the coming time, short-day tourism will continue to develop strongly in major cities such as Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
Businesses need to promote flexible products such as 2-day 1-night tours, 3-day 2-night tours, and at the same time enhance culinary experiences, health care and activities for families. The important thing is to turn one or two days off into a memorable experience," Mr. Tu emphasized.
