On peak summer tourist days like this time, the beaches in the Mui Ne - Tien Thanh area of Lam Dong province attract a large number of people and tourists to visit and swim. Along with the increase in the number of visitors, safety assurance at the beaches is also of particular concern to localities, businesses and management units.
Before the summer tourist peak, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lam Dong province has requested the management boards of tourist areas, attractions and tourism service business establishments to review rescue and relief equipment; strengthen specialized personnel to be on duty to be ready to respond when incidents occur.

Units are also requested to deploy rescue forces regularly at the beach, guide people and tourists to swim only in safe areas that have been planted with flags and signal buoys; and promptly remind cases of swimming far from shore or showing signs of unsafety.
At Da Ong Dia beach, Phu Thuy ward - one of the crowded swimming spots at the gateway to Mui Ne tourism - rescue forces regularly observe and use warning sirens for cases of swimming beyond safety limits. Water motorbikes are also arranged in the swimming area to handle emergency situations.
Chairman of Phu Thuy Ward People's Committee said that in mid-June, the locality established a rescue team at Da Ong Dia beach consisting of 5 members. The team has the task of being on duty at the beach, detecting and reminding of unsafe risks, and at the same time preparing vehicles and forces to rescue when there is an accident at sea.

According to Mr. Nguyen Minh Tam, Head of the Rescue Team at Da Ong Dia beach, the sea always changes with the weather, tides and currents, so it poses many risks for tourists who are not familiar with the sea characteristics in the area.
Many people see that the sea is calm, so they think it's safe. But in reality, strong currents may appear below. We have to continuously observe and remind to prevent early," Mr. Tam shared.

At Doi Duong beach, the Management Board of Doi Duong - Tien Thanh Tourist Area also maintains a standing rescue force, repairs the lifeline system and regularly broadcasts warnings about dangerous areas.
Proactively strengthening rescue and relief at beaches not only contributes to limiting accidents and protecting the safety of tourists, but also builds an image of a friendly and civilized destination. In the context of the continuous increase in tourists during the summer, a safe tourism environment is becoming an important factor helping Lam Dong beaches enhance their attractiveness and develop sustainably.
