The mural street (Son Tra ward, Da Nang city) was launched in 2022. This was once a location expected to turn Da Nang coastal village into an attractive destination for tourists, especially young people.
However, after more than 3 years, the murals here have clearly degraded. Many walls have moss and lumps, and the painting color fades over time.

Living in the mural street area for many years, Mr. Le Mang (Son Tra ward, Da Nang city) recalled that when it was first put into operation, this mural street attracted a lot of tourists and young people to take photos and visit.
After only a few years, the mural has deteriorated. "My walls are also painted with fish paintings, it was very beautiful at first, but now the paint has peeled off, and the fish tail is gone. This place is close to tourist destinations and is crowded with tourists, especially every weekend.
I hope that the painting street will be renovated and attract tourists as well as create a highlight of a fishing village along the coast of Da Nang, Mr. Mang shared.

Ms. Pham Thuy Lieu, a tourist from Ho Chi Minh City, visits the mural street during her first trip to Da Nang
"I happened to know about this mural road on social media, before coming here I had seen many photos and videos. However, when I arrived, I was a bit disappointed because the paintings here seemed to be forgotten, Ms. Lieu expressed.

Talking with Lao Dong, the leader of Son Tra Ward People's Committee said that the locality is meeting to discuss a specific plan to develop and gradually restore the mural street.
According to the initial orientation, this option will link the mural space with tourism, service and culinary activities. At the same time, exploit local specialties and characteristics to create highlights to attract tourists.
