Hurricane Milton made landfall in Florida, leaving millions without power and many missing.
Hurricane Milton has made landfall on Florida’s west coast as a Category 3 storm, threatening large swaths of Tampa Bay, Sarasota and other areas still reeling from the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. Milton has been called the “storm of the century.” Strong winds, heavy rain and tornadoes are spreading inland as the fierce storm makes landfall near Siesta Key in Sarasota County.
